We have a few beach chairs, an umbrella and sand toys available in the shed. There are also some well used bicycles in the shed along with a pump and cable lock you can use to bicycle to the beach or elsewhere. |

The state and local beaches do not provide any type of transferable beach badge. We recommend a season’s pass for the state beaches since one permit will allow you to use all the RI state beaches/parks. For RI residents, the cost is $60 (per car) and allows you to enter and leave the beach any time you like (i.e., lunch or naps for little ones). For non-residents the cost is $120. There is also a limited amount of on-street parking near Scarborough beach or you can pay the daily parking rates. Cars registered to senior citizens are half price. There is no other fee to use the state beaches other than the parking fee. Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day the beaches are free (but there are no services either). |

Linens and towels are not provided. Each bed has a comforter and pillows as well as extra blankets and pillows. Dish towels are also provided. There are two queen beds, a queen size sofa bed and five regular sized twin beds (including the bunks). Weekly summer rentals run Saturday to Saturday. Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am. The cleaning service needs the time in between to ensure a complete and thorough cleaning. For off-season weekend rentals, the check in/check out time is generally more flexible, unless someone is checking in on the day you check out. |

The kitchen has a complete set of utensils, pots and pans — including a lobster pot. You will need to bring or buy your own spices, although salt, pepper & sugar are generally available. We provide a gas grill and grill utensils. Barring unusual circumstances at least one full propane tank will be provided as well. |

The house is professionally cleaned before and after your rental so there isn’t much you need to clean other than dishes. We have a broom, dustpan and vacuum at the house. There is often dishwasher detergent, dish soap and laundry detergent available, but not necessarily. The cleaning service puts out a roll of paper towels in the kitchen and toilet paper in each bathroom to get you started, but you will generally need more. If you need more of anything there is a Super Stop & Shop (large grocery store) just ten minutes away. |

Yes, there are two ceiling fans upstairs, and a fan for each bedroom. |

Are there fans in the house? |

We have a some games (Scrabble, Boggle, Perquaky, Yahtzee, Jenga) and jigsaw puzzles. Bring your iPod if you like. There is an AM/FM stereo with a connection for an iPod/MP3 player. We have cable TV and a DVD player. There is an extra cable to connect a video game system if your kids insist on bringing one. |

What games or entertainment are available at the house? |

We keep a notebook at the house with suggestions for local activities & restaurants including pamphlets from many of them. We also have links on the home page of our web site that are useful in learning about local activities. Certainly worth considering are a day trip to Block Island on the ferry or a day/evening in Newport. We have been asked about recommendations for golf courses. We are not golfers, but here is a link listing local public courses and we have also driven past the Jamestown Golf Course on the way to Newport. |

If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days prior to the rental period and we are able to re-rent the property at the same rate, the cancellation fee is $200. If we are unable to re-rent the property the cancellation fee is 50% of the rental fee, i.e., equal to the deposit. If the cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to the rental period, the cancellation fee equals the entire rental fee (excluding cleaning fee and security deposit). |

What is your cancellation policy? |

We use a lock box to transfer the keys to you. About a week before your rental we will email you the combination to the lock box and the location. We will also provide the contact information for the local property manager in case an issue arises during your stay that requires immediate attention. |
